The Apostle Luke’s School of Iconography is pleased 
to announce that the following Byzantine Iconography 
course will be offered for 2012. 

Venue: 

Saint Andrew’s Grammar School, Senior Art Room 

Time: 

Saturday, 2 to 5PM 

Commencement Date: 

10th March 2012 

Course Overview: 

As part of the course we will be covering various 
aspects of the icon writing process. These include:- 

      The application of Gold     Leaf & Inscriptions 
                                                              Saint Fanourios is known for helping you find things, so 
      The use of a line diagram                              why not see if he can help you find your hidden artistic 
      The preparation, mixing and application of Egg                talent that may lay dormant within you. 
        Tempera paint 
                                                                                        Or 
      The icon writing process of the face, hair and 
        clothes                                                    Simply learn how to write your favourite Icon. 
      Iconography’s use of symbolism and its 
        spiritual depth

Tuition:        $10 per lesson
