St. Andrew’s Grammar Celebrates Annual Name Day Dinner Dance
December 1, 2025
St. Andrew’s Grammar proudly celebrated its annual St. Andrew’s Name Day Greek Dinner Dance on Saturday, 29 November, bringing together families, staff and members of the wider Hellenic community for an evening that honoured tradition and showcased the strength of our school community.
Held in the school gymnasium, the event welcomed members of the Hellenic Community of Western Australia Board, including President Paul Afkos OAM, along with many friends and supporters of the school. We were also pleased to host Mr Basil Zempilas, WA Leader of the Opposition and Leader of the WA Liberal Party, who took the time to meet and greet attendees throughout the evening.
During the formalities, President Paul Afkos OAM reflected on the school’s continued development, noting that St. Andrew’s Grammar “continues to move forward with strength and purpose,”.
“We are proud of how far the school has come and remain committed to building an exceptional future for our students.”
School Principal Craig Monaghan also spoke to the school’s progress, observing that the momentum within the St. Andrew’s community is unmistakable.
“Events like this remind us of what St. Andrew’s Grammar represents — unity, tradition, and Hellenic heritage. We’ve come a long way and have now become a school of choice for prospective students and parents, a testament to our shared vision for continued excellence.”
We extend our sincere thanks to all who attended and to the dedicated volunteers who ensured the evening ran seamlessly. We look forward to welcoming our community back for our next Dinner Dance in 2026. Take a look at some of our photos from the night in our gallery below.
