Welcoming the Year of the Horse at the Hellenic Community Aged Care

This week, we welcomed the Year of the Horse at the Hellenic Community Aged Care.
Our home was brought to life with vibrant red and pineapple decorations, symbolising prosperity and good fortune for the Lunar New Year ahead.
Residents from all cultural backgrounds came together for a joyful afternoon tea filled with traditional sweet treats, steamed dumplings (a delicious symbol of wealth and good fortune), and special snacks representing good health and happiness.
Our East Asian residents who celebrate the occasion were presented with a red ang pao (lucky envelope), gifted as a blessing for the year to come. And because no one should ever miss out, our caring staff personally delivered afternoon tea and lucky envelopes to residents who preferred a quieter celebration in their rooms.
We are proud to honour the traditions of all cultures within our community. Wishing everyone a year filled with prosperity, health and joy.
