Our History

Founded with a vision to unite and support Western Australia’s Greek community, the Hellenic Community of Western Australia has been a cornerstone of faith, culture, and heritage for generations. From our early days as a gathering place for Greek immigrants, we’ve grown into a thriving organisation that honours tradition while embracing the future. Our journey reflects the strength and resilience of our people, who’ve carried their heritage forward with pride and purpose.

Our Partner Organisations, Churches and Programs

St. Andrews Grammar

St Andrew’s Grammar is a modern, co-educational K–12 school in Dianella, offering a rich blend of academic excellence, Hellenic culture and Orthodox values. Backed by the Hellenic Community of WA, the school welcomes students from all backgrounds to grow, belong and thrive.

The Cathedral of Saints Constantine and Helene

Established in 1937, the Cathedral of Saints Constantine and Helene stands as a cherished landmark in Northbridge, built by Perth’s Greek community as a place of worship, culture and connection.

Hellenic Community Aged Care

Hellenic Community Aged Care offers compassionate, round-the-clock support in a vibrant, multicultural home just 12km from Perth’s CBD. Whether for permanent care or short-term respite, we create a home where wellbeing, community and culture come first.

Youth Group

The Hellenic Youth Group brings together Greek-Australian kids aged 7–17 for fun, friendship and cultural connection. It’s a vibrant space to stay connected to community and heritage. It’s all about building connection and lasting friendships, with new faces always welcomed with open arms.

Centre for Hellenic Studies

Experience the joy of learning Greek through our fun, inclusive and culturally rich language programs for children and the wider community. From beginners to fluent speakers, our engaging classes build real-world skills while celebrating Hellenic heritage.

Dance Group

We seeking expressions of interest for our traditional dance classes, run by the Hellenic Community Dance Group, for children aged 5-12 years old.
